Founding Declaration of

the Collaborative Council of Labor Organizations and Activists

 

To respond to one of the most basic needs of the labour movement—working class unity through increased communication and coordination of its various sections and different levels in relation to the ongoing actions and protests of workers and for closer collaboration of its activists and vanguards across the vast landscape of Iran, etc.--- the labor and student signers of this declaration have agreed after several preparatory meetings on February 16, 2007 to form the Collaborative Council of Labor Organizations and Activists with the goal of voluntary and free unity in action  around concrete labor demands.

 

It must be stressed on this occasion that the Collaborative Council of Labor Organizations and Activists invites all other organizations, activists and otherwise real and caring representative of workers to joint us in support of these collaborations and unity in action to advance communication and coordination in the face of increasing difficulties and challenges to our attain demands and rights.

 

Let it be that these collaborations and joint work prepare the context for elimination of the divisions in the labor movement and to establish class unity among workers to attain our rights and demands and to save ourselves from the existing abject conditions.
