Object: Freedom for Reza Shahabi and all other iranian trade unionists detained
Freedom for workers to mobilize to defend their rights in the workplace and to ask decent working conditions are essential principles for the development of every civil society.
The detention of many labor activists in Iran seems to us an unacceptable barbarity.
Furthermore, it appears that the health conditions of some imprisoned trade unionists have deteriorated during the prison without having received suitable care.
In particular we are very worried about the health of Reza Shahabi.
Reza Shahabi has plenty discounted his unjust condemnation for his peaceful activity to support Iranian workers.
Given his precarious health conditions, the continuation of this cruel detention puts risks for his life.
The Iranian institutions are directly responsible for the safety of Reza Shahabi and all iranians
trade unionists detained; we strongly demand their immediate release.
Besides Reza Shahabi we know that are still in prison: Esmail Abdi, Mahmoud Beheshti Langeroudi and several others.
Cub Trasporti trade union will participate every public initiatives will be organized in Italy for their freedom.

Oggetto: Libertà per Reza Shahabi e per tutti gli altri sindacalisti iraniani incarcerati
La libertà di mobilitarsi per difendere i propri diritti sul posto di lavoro è condizioni di Lavoro dignitose è un principio essenziale per lo sviluppo di ogni società civile.
Per questo la detenzione di molti attivisti del lavoro in Iran ci pare una barbarie non tollerabile.
Peraltro ci risulta che le condizioni di salute di alcuni sindacalisti imprigionati in Iran si siano deteriorate durante il carcere senza aver ricevuto cure adeguate.
In particolare siamo oggi molto preoccupati per la salute di Reza Shahabi.
Reza Shahabi ha scontato oltre ogni misura la sua pena ed una dura detenzione solo per il sua attività pacifica in favore dei lavoratori Iraniani.
Considerate le sue precarie condizioni di salute il perdurare di questa ingiusta detenzione mette a rischio la sua vita.
Le istituzioni iraniane sono direttamente responsabili della incolumità di Reza Shahabi è di tutti gli altri sindacalisti detenuti; chiedamo con forza la loro liberazione immediata.
Oltre Reza ci risultano ancora in carcere: Esmail Abdi, Mahmoud Beheshti Langeroudi e molti altri.
Come sindacato Cub Trasporti parteciperemo a ogni iniziativa pubblica organizzata in Italia per la liberazione di Reza Shahabi e per gli altri attivisti sindacali detenuti in Iran.
