Four Labour Activists Arrested!

 

On Friday, December 14, 2007, four labour activists who had gathered in Chitgar Park in Tehran for a social gathering were arrested by security forces. First, Mr. Ebrahim Gohari, a member of the executive board of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Vahed Bus Company, was arrested and transferred to the police station of Chitgar Park. After that, three of his friends, Mr. Mohsen Hakimi, a member of the Coordinating Committee to Form Workers’ Organization and one of the Saqez Seven labour activists who live in Tehran, as well as two independent labour activists named Alireza Asghari and Hossein Gholami went to the police station to enquire about Mr. Gohari but all three of them got arrested and detained as well. They are being transferred to the police station 137 in Gisha (Nasr) Bridge and are expected to appear before the court soon.
